O Lamb of Heaven (Christian Worship)

Verse 1

I came with empty hands

Dust on my worn-out name

You met me at the door

And called me home by grace

My heart was hard as stone

My steps were bent with shame

But mercy found my breath

And taught my lips Your name

Pre-Chorus

Now the veil is torn

Now the heavy chains fall

I was lost, but You

You were over it all

Chorus

O Lamb of Heaven, wash me clean

O Lamb of Heaven, set me free

You took my cross, You wore my shame

I live by mercy, in Your name

O Lamb of Heaven, hear my song

You were the weak, You made me strong

O Lamb of Heaven, lead me on

I belong, I belong

Verse 2

When nights were long and cold

You kept a flame alive

You found me in the flood

And held my trembling life

You wrote Your love in blood

You signed it with the cross

What I could never earn

You gave, and counted loss

Pre-Chorus

Now the veil is torn

Now the heavy chains fall

I was lost, but You

You were over it all

Chorus

O Lamb of Heaven, wash me clean

O Lamb of Heaven, set me free

You took my cross, You wore my shame

I live by mercy, in Your name

O Lamb of Heaven, hear my song

You were the weak, You made me strong

O Lamb of Heaven, lead me on

I belong, I belong

Bridge

Oh, when the tomb broke open

Hope broke open too

Death could not hold You

And it cannot hold me now

Oh, all my sorrow's turning

All my tears to praise

King of resurrection

Keep me all my days

Final Chorus

O Lamb of Heaven, wash me clean

O Lamb of Heaven, set me free

You took my cross, You wore my shame

I live by mercy, in Your name

O Lamb of Heaven, hear my song

You were the weak, You made me strong

O Lamb of Heaven, lead me on

I belong, I belong
