Jesus, You Are Near

Verse 1

I came with dust upon my hands

And questions I could barely say

You met me where the dry ground cracked

And called my wandering heart by name

Pre-Chorus

No perfect words, no worthy offering

Just this small faith I bring

Chorus

Jesus, You are near

Closer than my breath, stronger than my fear

When every road disappears

I will rest in the mercy that brought me here

Jesus, my heart will sing

You are my refuge, You are everything

Through every loss and every year

Jesus, You are near

Verse 2

You bore the weight I could not lift

Your hands still carry love for me

The grave could not contain Your life

Your rising broke the lock on me

Pre-Chorus

No hidden place, no wound beyond Your seeing

Your grace keeps reaching me

Chorus

Jesus, You are near

Closer than my breath, stronger than my fear

When every road disappears

I will rest in the mercy that brought me here

Jesus, my heart will sing

You are my refuge, You are everything

Through every loss and every year

Jesus, You are near

Bridge

If I have one more step, You lead it

If I have one more breath, receive it

All that I am, all that I need

Is found in You, is found in You

Final Chorus

Jesus, You are near

Closer than my breath, stronger than my fear

Even when the night is severe

Your faithful love is holding me here

Jesus, my heart will sing

You are my refuge, You are everything

Until the day Your face is clear

Jesus, You are near

Jesus, You are near

Outro

I will rest in Your mercy

I will rest in Your mercy

Jesus, You are near
