You Will Never Turn Away

Verse 1

I found You where the hospital hallway ended

With a paper cup and a trembling hand

You did not promise the road would be easy

You stayed beside me when I could not stand

Pre-Chorus

Every question, every tear

You were closer than I feared

Chorus

Jesus, hold my heart together

When the pieces will not stay

Jesus, be my faithful shelter

When I cannot find the way

I will trust the hands that bore my freedom

I will rest beneath Your name

Jesus, You are here forever

You will never turn away

Verse 2

You know the sound of a mother praying

The empty chair, the unopened door

You meet us in the rooms we avoid

And bring a peace we cannot manufacture anymore

Pre-Chorus

In the waiting, in the ache

You are faithful, wide awake

Chorus

Jesus, hold my heart together

When the pieces will not stay

Jesus, be my faithful shelter

When I cannot find the way

I will trust the hands that bore my freedom

I will rest beneath Your name

Jesus, You are here forever

You will never turn away

Bridge

At the cross, You saw my weakness

At the grave, You broke the night

Now the wounds that once condemned me

Tell me I am welcomed into life

No accusation, no abandonment

Can undo what love has done

The One who called my name in darkness

Will carry me until the morning comes

Final Chorus

Jesus, hold my heart together

You have kept me through the flame

Jesus, be my faithful shelter

I am safe beneath Your name

I will trust the hands that bore my freedom

I will praise You through the pain

Jesus, You are here forever

You will never turn away

Outro

You will never turn away
