Wandering in the Wilderness (Folk-Gospel Male)

Verse 1

Woke up in a desert

Sand in my shoes

Dry throat

Carrying questions like stones

Too heavy to hold alone

Chorus

I’m wandering in the wilderness

But You keep leaving water in my way

Streams in the strangest places

Bread for another day

If I’m wandering in the wilderness

You’re the cloud that covers up my fear

Fire in the cold night air

You are here

You are here

Verse 2

Walls looked tall as mountains

My courage felt so small

You said

“Walk around them

Watch how the stones will fall”

Chorus

I’m wandering in the wilderness

But You keep leaving water in my way

Streams in the strangest places

Bread for another day

If I’m wandering in the wilderness

You’re the cloud that covers up my fear

Fire in the cold night air

You are here

You are here

Bridge

I thought I needed answers

You just gave me Yourself (oh)

Every battle

Every valley

You were there in the middle

Emmanuel

Chorus

I’m wandering in the wilderness

But You keep leaving water in my way

Streams in the strangest places

Mercy in every day

If I’m wandering in the wilderness

You’re the song that steadies every tear

Fire in the cold night air

You are here

You are here
