The Crown of Thorns (Cinematic Hymn)
Lyrics
Verse 1
They twisted thorns into a crown
And pressed it on His head
They mocked the King of glory
While His precious blood was shed
Chorus
The crown of thorns He wore for me
The King who took my shame
One day He'll wear a crown of gold
And every heart will praise His name
Verse 2
They placed a reed within His hand
They bowed in cruel jest
But He was truly King of kings
And still He loved them best
Bridge
King of thorns
King of grace
King of glory
In my place
Chorus
The crown of thorns He wore for me
The King who took my shame
One day He'll wear a crown of gold
And every heart will praise His name
