Strength for Today (Christian Worship)

Spoken Intro

He gives strength to the weary

and increases the power of the weak. Take courage.

Verse 1

When heavy mountains block the view,

And weary feet begin to tire,

Your grace supplies what is undone,

And lights a sacred, holy fire.

Spoken Interlude

Lean entirely on His everlasting arms. He will carry you through today.

Chorus

Strength for today, hope for this hour,

Held in Your mercy, kept by Your power.

When I am struggling, You stay beside me,

Faithful and near, You will guide me.

Verse 2

When morning asks for more than I can give,

And quiet fears crowd every thought,

You meet me here with daily bread,

And teach my heart to trust Your love.

Chorus

Strength for today, hope for this hour,

Held in Your mercy, kept by Your power.

When I am struggling, You stay beside me,

Faithful and near, You will guide me.

Bridge

One step, then another,

Your hand steady in mine.

I don't have to carry tomorrow;

Your grace will meet me in time.

Final Chorus

Strength for today, hope for this hour,

Held in Your mercy, kept by Your power.

When I am struggling, You stay beside me,

Faithful and near, You will guide me.

Spoken Outro

You are not alone. His strength is enough for today.
