Our High Priest (Uplifting Christian)

Verse 1

Beneath the wood, the Holy One

Bore every wound that we had made

The spotless Lamb, God’s chosen Son

Entered the dark our debt had paid

Pre-Chorus

Now through His blood the veil is torn

A living hope for hearts reborn

Chorus

Jesus, our High Priest, stand for us

Bring us near the Father’s throne

By Your mercy, Lord, receive us

Make Your dwelling in our souls

Hands once pierced now raised in prayer

You have carried us in there

Jesus, our High Priest, stand for us

We are welcomed home

Verse 2

When condemnation speaks my name

Your risen life becomes my plea

The cross has silenced every claim

Your perfect love has set me free

Pre-Chorus

No fear can bar the way You made

No sin can void the price You paid

Chorus

Jesus, our High Priest, stand for us

Bring us near the Father’s throne

By Your mercy, Lord, receive us

Make Your dwelling in our souls

Hands once pierced now raised in prayer

You have carried us in there

Jesus, our High Priest, stand for us

We are welcomed home

Bridge

Holy Savior, faithful brother

You know weakness, grief, and pain

Interceding for Your people

You will never plead in vain

Choir

You will never plead in vain

You will never plead in vain

Final Chorus

Jesus, our High Priest, stand for us

Bring us near the Father’s throne

By Your mercy, Lord, receive us

Make Your dwelling in our souls

Hands once pierced now raised in prayer

You have carried us in there

Jesus, our High Priest, stand for us

We are welcomed home
