Open the Sky (Christian Worship)

Verse 1

I came in with a tired heart

Dust on my hands, truth on my tongue

You met me where the road runs out

And called me back when I was done

Pre-Chorus

You never looked away

You never turned me loose

When I had nothing left

You still made room

Chorus

Open the sky

Let mercy fall

Open the sky

And heal it all

You are good

You are here

Open the sky

My God is near

Verse 2

I’ve seen the storm on the river bend

I’ve seen the fear in my father’s eyes

But every time my knees hit stone

You answered with a rescue line

Pre-Chorus

You never looked away

You never turned me loose

When I had nothing left

You still made room

Chorus

Open the sky

Let mercy fall

Open the sky

And heal it all

You are good

You are here

Open the sky

My God is near

Bridge

Lift my head

Lift my hands

I will trust

I will stand

When my name

Feels too small

You still know me

Through it all

Chorus

Open the sky

Let mercy fall

Open the sky

And heal it all

You are good

You are here

Open the sky

My God is near
