Jesus, Stay Beside Me (Contemporary Worship)

Verse 1

You meet me in the quiet of the morning

When the day is still unopened in my hands

You speak a steady kindness to my worry

And teach my restless heart to understand

Pre-Chorus

Jesus, stay beside me

Jesus, lead me home

Chorus

Jesus, You are near

Faithful through the years

When my strength is small, Your love will carry me

Jesus, gentle King

Hope in everything

I will rest in You, and You will steady me

Verse 2

You walked the dusty roads with those who needed

You gave the overlooked a place to stand

So let me see the neighbor right before me

And meet them with the mercy of Your hands

Pre-Chorus

Jesus, stay beside me

Jesus, lead me home

Chorus

Jesus, You are near

Faithful through the years

When my strength is small, Your love will carry me

Jesus, gentle King

Hope in everything

I will rest in You, and You will steady me

Bridge

In the breaking, You are with us

In the waiting, You are kind

Every season, every question

I am held within Your life

Chorus

Jesus, You are near

Faithful through the years

When my strength is small, Your love will carry me

Jesus, gentle King

Hope in everything

I will rest in You, and You will steady me

Outro

Jesus, stay beside me

I will rest in You
