How Long O Lord (Worship Lament)

Verse 1

I've been waiting through the night

Counting hours, searching for the light

Feels like silence is all I hear

Are You near, are You near

Pre-Chorus

Still I lift my weary eyes

To the One who holds the skies

Chorus

How long, O Lord, how long

Will I wait to hear Your song

But I will trust Your steady love

I will lean on what You've done

Even here my heart will sing

You are faithful in everything

Verse 2

When my thoughts are tangled tight

And the morning feels so far from sight

I will bring You every tear

You are here, You are here

Pre-Chorus

Still I lift my weary eyes

To the One who holds the skies

Chorus

How long, O Lord, how long

Will I wait to hear Your song

But I will trust Your steady love

I will lean on what You've done

Even here my heart will sing

You are faithful in everything

Bridge

You have been good to me before

You will be good to me once more

I will rest within Your care

You are there, You are there

Final Chorus

How long, O Lord, how long

Still I wait, but I'm not alone

I will trust Your steady love

I will lean on what You've done

Even here my heart will sing

You are faithful in everything

Outro

Even here

You are faithful
