Open Our Hearts (Worship Modern)

Verse 1

We gather in the morning light

With tired hands and restless minds

We bring the little that we hold

And lay it down before You now

Pre-Chorus

Speak, and we will listen

Move, and we will follow

Chorus

Open our hearts, Lord, make room for You

Soften the places we hide from view

Fill every corner with kindness and grace

Open our hearts, Lord, we long for Your face

Verse 2

Where we have built our walls so high

Where we have kept our doors shut tight

Come like the wind across the fields

And teach us how to love again

Pre-Chorus

Speak, and we will listen

Move, and we will follow

Chorus

Open our hearts, Lord, make room for You

Soften the places we hide from view

Fill every corner with kindness and grace

Open our hearts, Lord, we long for Your face

Bridge

Make us a people who welcome the stranger

Make us a people who carry Your peace

Out through these doors and into the city

Let Your love be what the whole world sees

Final Chorus

Open our hearts, Lord, make room for You

Soften the places we hide from view

Fill every corner with kindness and grace

Open our hearts, Lord, we long for Your face

Outro

Open our hearts

We are open to You
