Down to the River (Uplifting Acoustic)

Verse 1

I'm going down to the river where the water runs clean

Leaving every yesterday and everything I've been

Jesus went before me in the Jordan long ago

Now I follow in His footsteps, washed as white as snow

Chorus

Down to the river, down to the river

Buried with Him, raised to life

Down to the river, down to the river

I'm a new creation tonight

Verse 2

The heavens opened wide and the Spirit like a dove

The Father's voice was speaking, This is My Son I love

Now I hear Him calling, Child, come and be made new

Down into the water, Lord, I'm giving all to You

Chorus

Down to the river, down to the river

Buried with Him, raised to life

Down to the river, down to the river

I'm a new creation tonight

Bridge

The old is gone, the new has come

I belong to the Holy One

The old is gone, the new has come

Hallelujah, I'm the Father's son

Chorus

Down to the river, down to the river

Buried with Him, raised to life

Down to the river, down to the river

I'm a new creation tonight
