We Remember, Lord (Uplifting Christian)

Verse 1

In the upper room, the evening settled low

You gathered close where only faithful hearts would know

A loaf between Your hands, a cup beneath the flame

You spoke of love that would endure the wound and shame

Pre-Chorus

Though sorrow waited at the door

You gave us more, You gave us more

Chorus

This is Your body, broken for us

This is Your blood, poured out in love

At Your table, mercy makes us new

We remember, Lord, we remember You

Verse 2

You washed the dust from feet that soon would run away

You met our fear with words we still hold to today

The bread became a promise, the cup a covenant

Forgiveness flowing where our fractured hearts were bent

Pre-Chorus

Though darkness gathered round the hill

Your steadfast heart was with us still

Chorus

This is Your body, broken for us

This is Your blood, poured out in love

At Your table, mercy makes us new

We remember, Lord, we remember You

Bridge

From the garden to the cross

You embraced the greatest cost

Every failure, every stain

Bore the weight of Jesus' name

Now the stone is rolled away

Grace has opened up the way

We come trembling, we come free

Your redemption carries me

Final Chorus

This is Your body, broken for us

This is Your blood, poured out in love

At Your table, mercy makes us new

We remember, Lord, we remember You

Outro

At Your table, we are home

By Your mercy, not alone

We remember, Lord, we remember You
