The Stone Is Rolled Away (Easter Resurrection)
Lyrics
Verse 1
Early in the morning, while the world was still asleep
The women came with spices and sorrow running deep
But the ground began to tremble and an angel lit the sky
He is not here, He is risen, Jesus is alive
Chorus
The stone is rolled away
Death has lost its hold today
Sing it loud, the King is risen
Hallelujah, the stone is rolled away
Verse 2
The guards fell down like dead men, the linen folded neat
The tomb is standing empty, the victory complete
Now every chain is broken, now every fear is gone
The Lamb who was slain is the risen Holy One
Chorus
The stone is rolled away
Death has lost its hold today
Sing it loud, the King is risen
Hallelujah, the stone is rolled away
Bridge
Where, O death, is your sting
Where, O grave, is your victory
He is risen, He is risen
He is risen indeed
Chorus
The stone is rolled away
Death has lost its hold today
Sing it loud, the King is risen
Hallelujah, the stone is rolled away
