The Name of Jesus (Powerful Contemporary)

Verse 1

At the hill where mercy opened wide

Love bore the weight that I could not hide

The stone was cold, the morning was near

Then grace stepped in and conquered fear

Pre-Chorus

For every wound, a healing stream

For every heart, a living dream

The lost come home, the chains release

We lift one name, and find our peace

Chorus

The name of Jesus, hope for the broken

The name of Jesus, life has been spoken

Healing for the hurting, freedom for the bound

Salvation is rising when that name is proclaimed

The name of Jesus, forever we’ll sing

The name of Jesus, our Savior and King

Verse 2

He met me where my strength had failed

His faithful hand held when I wavered

No shame can stand beneath His grace

No night can hide His radiant face

Pre-Chorus

For every tear, a joy restored

For every soul, an open door

The lost come home, the chains release

We lift one name, and find our peace

Chorus

The name of Jesus, hope for the broken

The name of Jesus, life has been spoken

Healing for the hurting, freedom for the bound

Salvation is rising when that name is proclaimed

The name of Jesus, forever we’ll sing

The name of Jesus, our Savior and King

Jesus, Jesus, mighty to save

Jesus, Jesus, risen from the grave

Every knee will bow, every heart will know

Mercy has a name, and His love will flow
