The King They Dressed in Purple (Cinematic Hymn)
eveningforgivenessgrievinghymn
Lyrics
Verse 1
They twisted thorns together
And they pressed them on His head
They mocked Him as a King
While His holy blood was shed
Chorus
The crown of thorns He carried
Was meant for me to wear
Jesus took my shame upon Him
And He left His glory there
Verse 2
Now every crown of heaven
Will be laid before His feet
The King they dressed in purple
Has made my soul complete
Bridge
Thorns for me
Crowns for Him
King of Kings
Forever
Chorus
The crown of thorns He carried
Was meant for me to wear
Jesus took my shame upon Him
And He left His glory there
