Red Letter Glow (Contemporary Christian)

Verse 1

I woke up tired

Pocket full of smoke

Then I found that book

By the broken window

Dust on the cover

But the words still burn

Open that page now

Watch my heart return

Pre-Chorus

Every line alive

Every promise true

When I read His name

I remember who

Chorus

Red letter glow

Red letter glow

It hits my bones

Red letter glow

I was far away

Now I’m coming home

Red letter glow

Red letter glow (oh)

Verse 2

Mama kept a Bible

On the kitchen shelf

Said when you feel lost

Go there for yourself

Names in the margins

Prayer in the cracks

Mercy on the page

Pulling me back

Pre-Chorus

Every line alive

Every promise true

When I read His name

I remember who

Chorus

Red letter glow

Red letter glow

It hits my bones

Red letter glow

I was far away

Now I’m coming home

Red letter glow

Red letter glow (oh)

Bridge

Say it again

Grace still finds me

Say it again

Love still frees me

Old chains fall

New fire starts

Word on the page

Word in my heart

Final Chorus

Red letter glow

Red letter glow

It hits my bones

Red letter glow

I was far away

Now I’m coming home

Red letter glow

Red letter glow (oh)

Red letter glow

Red letter glow

Jesus changed me

Red letter glow (oh)
