Our Hearts Beside You (Gentle Contemporary)

Verse 1

Your name rests softly in our hands,

A little light, a life begun.

We gather here beside the water,

And promise you you’re not alone.

Chorus

May love be the home that carries you,

May kindness be the path you find.

Wherever your small feet wander,

You’ll have our hearts beside you, every time.

Verse 2

The morning spills across the window,

Your blanket tucked beneath your chin.

We speak our hopes in quiet voices,

And welcome all the days ahead.

Chorus

May love be the home that carries you,

May kindness be the path you find.

Wherever your small feet wander,

You’ll have our hearts beside you, every time.

Bridge

When the road is wide, when the road is steep,

May grace keep watch while you dream and sleep.

And if you lose your way awhile,

Turn toward the ones who know your smile.

Final Chorus

May love be the home that carries you,

May kindness be the path you find.

Wherever your small feet wander,

You’ll have our hearts beside you, every time.

You’ll have our hearts beside you, every time.

Outro

Welcome, dear one. You belong.
