Open The Book (Contemporary Gospel)

Verse 1

I was low in the dust

Hands full of my own mess

Then I heard that old truth

Calling me to stand up

You still speak in the storm

You still reach for the lost

Every line in the page

Feels like a rope when I’m gone

Pre-Chorus

So I’m opening it now

Right here, right now

Let Your word hit hard

Let it wake me up

Chorus

Open the Book

Open the Book

Your word still heals me

Open the Book

Open the Book

Jesus, You’re enough

Verse 2

When my heart starts to run

And my mind starts to race

I remember Your name

Written bright through the ache

Moses saw the sea split

David faced that giant

If You did it then

You can do it again

Pre-Chorus

So I’m opening it now

Right here, right now

Let Your word hit hard

Let it wake me up

Chorus

Open the Book

Open the Book

Your word still heals me

Open the Book

Open the Book

Jesus, You’re enough

Bridge

Speak, Lord, I’m listening

Write it on my bones

Grace over my fear

Truth that brings me home

One word from Heaven

And the dry bones rise

One word from Heaven

And I come alive

Final Chorus

Open the Book

Open the Book

Your word still heals me

Open the Book

Open the Book

Jesus, You’re enough

Open the Book

Open the Book

I was lost, now I’m free

Open the Book

Open the Book

Your word is alive in me
