Jesus, My Shelter (Christian Worship)

Verse 1

Jesus, meet me where the morning settles

Before the day has asked me who to be

You know the quiet questions I keep folded

You hold them gently, and You stay with me

Chorus

Jesus, my shelter, Jesus, my friend

Your steady mercy meets me again

When I am weary, when I can’t see

You walk beside me, You carry me

Verse 2

I bring the words I couldn’t say at dinner

The small regret that followed me back home

You do not turn away from all my weakness

Your patient love reminds me I’m not alone

Chorus

Jesus, my shelter, Jesus, my friend

Your steady mercy meets me again

When I am weary, when I can’t see

You walk beside me, You carry me

Bridge

Teach me to listen, teach me to trust

Make my next step a quiet yes

Not by my strength, not by my own

You are the way that leads me home

Final Chorus

Jesus, my shelter, Jesus, my friend

Your steady mercy meets me again

When I am weary, when I can’t see

You walk beside me, You carry me

You walk beside me, You carry me

Outro

Jesus, stay near

Jesus, stay near
