Jesus My Anchor (Contemporary Christian)

Verse 1

I came in broken

With dust on my hands

You knew my silence

And still You stayed

I brought my questions

You gave me peace

Right in the hurting

You carried me

Pre-Chorus

When my heart was shaking

You held it still

When the night was closing

You knew the way

Chorus

Jesus, my anchor

Hold me close

Jesus, my anchor

You never let go

In every storm

You are my song

Jesus, my anchor

You carry me on

Verse 2

I’ve seen the valleys

I’ve seen the fire

Still You were faithful

Higher and higher

When shame came calling

You spoke my name

You took my weakness

And covered it with grace

Pre-Chorus

When my heart was shaking

You held it still

When the night was closing

You knew the way

Chorus

Jesus, my anchor

Hold me close

Jesus, my anchor

You never let go

In every storm

You are my song

Jesus, my anchor

You carry me on

Bridge

You are the rescue

You are the light

You are the mercy

That won’t run dry

So I will praise You

Through tears and pain

Jesus, my anchor

Forever the same

Chorus

Jesus, my anchor

Hold me close

Jesus, my anchor

You never let go

In every storm

You are my song

Jesus, my anchor

You carry me on

Outro

You carry me on

You carry me on

Jesus, my anchor
