Into the Jordan (Joyful Baptism)

Verse 1

Jesus walked down to the Jordan

Where the waters gently flowed

Heaven opened like a curtain

And the Spirit like a dove came down

Chorus

Into the Jordan, into the light

I'm following Jesus, my soul is alive

Down in the water, up in His grace

I'm walking with Jesus all of my days

Verse 2

Now I'm standing where He stood

With my heart wide open too

Lay my old life in the river

Come up singing, born brand new

Bridge

Wade on in, wade on in

There is freedom here from sin

Wade on in, wade on in

Chorus

Into the Jordan, into the light

I'm following Jesus, my soul is alive

Down in the water, up in His grace

I'm walking with Jesus all of my days
