I Rest in You (Contemporary Worship)

Verse 1

The morning lays its hand upon the hill

A page turns softly in the quiet room

Your mercy meets the day before it stirs

And keeps its patient promise in my heart

Chorus

Your steadfast love will hold me through the day

Your faithful word will guide the steps I take

In every hour, in every changing season

I rest in You, my refuge and my peace

Verse 2

The words of life are bread for this new day

A lamp of wisdom for the road ahead

I read, and let their truth make room in me

For grace to shape the things I say and do

Chorus

Your steadfast love will hold me through the day

Your faithful word will guide the steps I take

In every hour, in every changing season

I rest in You, my refuge and my peace

Bridge

When plans are unclear, You remain

When strength runs low, Your grace is near

I lift this day into Your hands

And trust the care that brought me here

Final Chorus

Your steadfast love will hold me through the day

Your faithful word will guide the steps I take

In every hour, in every changing season

I rest in You, my refuge and my peace

I rest in You, my refuge and my peace

Outro
