I Lay It at Your Feet (Devotional Hymn)

Verse 1

I brought You my fear

With both hands shaking

I came as I am

Tired and breaking

The night was too heavy

So I walked here slow

Pre-Chorus

And You did not turn away

You met me in the ache

You held the pieces near

And asked me to stay

Chorus

I lay it at Your feet

I lay it at Your feet

My sorrow and my need

I lay it at Your feet

Take all that I can't keep

I lay it at Your feet

(I lay it at Your feet)

Verse 2

I laid down my pride

By the old oak altar

The tears came easy

But my soul grew quieter

Your mercy was nearer

Than my wounded breath

Pre-Chorus

And You did not turn away

You met me in the ache

You held the pieces near

And asked me to stay

Chorus

I lay it at Your feet

I lay it at Your feet

My sorrow and my need

I lay it at Your feet

Take all that I can't keep

I lay it at Your feet

(I lay it at Your feet)

Bridge

So here is my heart

Still learning trust

Here is my burden

Fit for Your love

I am Yours

I am Yours

Final Chorus

I lay it at Your feet

I lay it at Your feet

My sorrow and my need

I lay it at Your feet

Take all that I can't keep

I lay it at Your feet

(I lay it at Your feet)
