Holy Spirit, Come

Verse

A whisper stirs within the air

You move I feel you there

An unseen light a sacred flame

Upon my heart you lay your claim

Your breath is life it fills the void

A quiet peace a joy employed

Holy Spirit come and stay

Renew my soul show me the way

Chorus

Holy Spirit come take flight

Break the dark ignite the night

Fill this temple fill this heart

Make me whole don’t ever part

You’re the storm I stand within

Washing over cleansing sin

Holy Spirit take your throne

Let my life be yours alone

Verse 2

You chase the shadows chase my fear

Your voice I need your love is near

Like morning dew on thirsty ground

Your presence heals where pain is found

A gentle hand that lifts me high

I’m lost in grace I can’t deny

Holy Spirit lead me on

Where you go is where I belong

Chorus

Holy Spirit come take flight

Break the dark ignite the night

Fill this temple fill this heart

Make me whole don’t ever part

You’re the storm I stand within

Washing over cleansing sin

Holy Spirit take your throne

Let my life be yours alone

Bridge

Like the rush of a mighty wind

Let your fire fall begin

Let your power overflow

Holy Spirit let it show

Break the chains and break the lies

Lift me to those higher skies

Holy Spirit guide my days

Fill my mouth with endless praise

Chorus

Holy Spirit come take flight

Break the dark ignite the night

Fill this temple fill this heart

Make me whole don’t ever part

You’re the storm I stand within

Washing over cleansing sin

Holy Spirit take your throne

Let my life be yours alone
