Held Within Your Care (Contemporary Worship)

Verse 1

You meet me where the morning settles,

When the room is still and plain;

Your kindness waits beside the window,

Your mercy finds me there again.

Chorus

Jesus, hold my heart in peace,

Be the shelter where I breathe.

When my strength is small and worn,

You are faithful, You are close.

Jesus, guide me through the day;

Keep my restless thoughts at bay.

Every step and every prayer,

I am held within Your care.

Verse 2

You know the names I cannot speak yet,

Every worry folded tight;

You lift the weight I bring before You,

And teach my hands to open wide.

Chorus

Jesus, hold my heart in peace,

Be the shelter where I breathe.

When my strength is small and worn,

You are faithful, You are close.

Jesus, guide me through the day;

Keep my restless thoughts at bay.

Every step and every prayer,

I am held within Your care.

Bridge

In the quiet, You are with me;

In the waiting, You remain.

From the first light to the evening,

I will trust Your gentle name.

Final Chorus

Jesus, hold my heart in peace,

Be the shelter where I breathe.

When my strength is small and worn,

You are faithful, You are close.

Jesus, guide me through the day;

Keep my restless thoughts at bay.

Every step and every prayer,

I am held within Your care.

Outro

I am held within Your care,

Jesus, You are with me there.
