Dust on My Bible (Fingerpicked Guitar)

Verse 1

Coffee ring on the cover

Name penned in the front

From ‘92

Pages curled at the corners

Guess it’s been a while since I came to You

Chorus

Blowin’ the dust off my Bible

Blowin’ the dust off my heart

Every old promise feels new when I

Read how You loved from the start

I thought I’d wandered too far away

But Your words are pullin’ me back today

Blowin’ the dust off my Bible

And the dark off my heart

Verse 2

Red letters underlined shaky

Tears stained the ink from a younger me

Didn’t know how much I’d need them

Now every verse sounds like You’re talkin’ to me

Chorus

Blowin’ the dust off my Bible

Blowin’ the dust off my heart

Every old promise feels new when I

Read how You loved from the start

I thought I’d wandered too far away

But Your words are pullin’ me back today

Blowin’ the dust off my Bible

And the dark off my heart
