Bread for the Broken (Modern Worship)

Verse 1

I was chasing every shadow

Hands full of dust and pride

Tried to drink from empty rivers

Still my heart stayed dry inside

Chorus

You are bread for the broken

Living water pouring over me

Every word that You have spoken

Builds a table in my unbelief

I was lost and I was hollow

Now Your mercy is my song to sing

You are bread for the broken

And I’m breaking on my knees (oh oh)

Verse 2

You don’t wait for me to finish

You don’t ask me to pretend

You just meet me in the middle

Call me child

Call me friend

Chorus

You are bread for the broken

Living water pouring over me

Every word that You have spoken

Builds a table in my unbelief

I was lost and I was hollow

Now Your mercy is my song to sing

You are bread for the broken

And I’m breaking on my knees (yeah)
