Behold The King
Lyrics
Verse
Behold the King who suffers for us
He takes the weight of sin and dust
The thorns they crown his holy brow
Behold the mercy shown somehow
Verse 2
Behold the King who suffers for us
He walks the road so perilous
Through shadows dark his light will shine
Behold the love that’s so divine
Chorus
Behold the King who suffers for us
Redeeming grace in him we trust
The cross he bears for hearts so cold
Behold the price for us was gold
Verse 3
Behold the King who suffers for us
His blood poured out so glorious
The heavens weep the earth does quake
Behold forgiveness for our sake
Bridge
Behold the tomb where silence lies
The stone rolls back and death defies
An angel stands with arms stretched wide
Behold the risen Lord alive
Chorus
Behold the King who suffers for us
Redeeming grace in him we trust
The cross he bore was not in vain
Behold the Lamb who broke the chain
