Bedtime Prayer Song (Gentle Kids)

Intro

(soft music box)

Verse 1

The stars are peeking out tonight

The moon is shining soft and bright

I fold my hands and close my eyes

And talk to God before goodnight

Chorus

Thank You, God, for today

For every friend and every game

Hold me close while I sleep

You're my Shepherd, I'm Your sheep

Goodnight, goodnight, You're always near

Goodnight, goodnight, I have no fear

Verse 2

If I was grumpy, help me grow

If I was kind, I'm glad You know

Watch over Mum and Dad and all

The people that I love so much

Chorus

Thank You, God, for today

For every friend and every game

Hold me close while I sleep

You're my Shepherd, I'm Your sheep

Goodnight, goodnight, You're always near

Goodnight, goodnight, I have no fear

Bridge

You never sleep, You never tire

You watch me through the night

So I can rest my sleepy head

Until the morning light

Final Chorus

Thank You, God, for today

For every friend and every game

Hold me close while I sleep

You're my Shepherd, I'm Your sheep

Goodnight, goodnight, You're always near

Goodnight, goodnight, I have no fear

Outro

Amen, amen, goodnight
