Alpha and Omega

Verse 1

Before the first dawn broke the silence

Before the dust received its name

You held the ages in Your mercy

Your holy purpose never changed

Pre-Chorus

When our rebellion scarred the garden

You came to meet us in our shame

The Lamb who bore the weight of judgment

Opened the road to life again

Chorus

Jesus, Alpha and Omega

First and Last, forever crowned

Through the cross You bought redemption

Now the lost are welcomed home

Every knee will bend before You

Every tongue will sing Your worth

You are Lord through every age

Worthy of worship forever

Verse 2

The nails were driven through Your kindness

The darkest hour could not prevail

The stone gave way beneath Your glory

Death surrendered at Your breath

Pre-Chorus

Now mercy flows from wounds once opened

Grace has a name we can proclaim

The risen King has torn our prison

And called us from the grave

Chorus

Jesus, Alpha and Omega

First and Last, forever crowned

Through the cross You bought redemption

Now the lost are welcomed home

Every knee will bend before You

Every tongue will sing Your worth

You are Lord through every age

Worthy of worship forever

Holy, holy, Lord of glory

King who was and is to come

All creation bows in wonder

All the heavens praise the Son

From the cradle to the cross

From the grave to endless dawn

You have overcome, You have overcome

Our beginning and our ending

Our salvation, living hope

You have overcome, You have overcome

Final Chorus

Jesus, Alpha and Omega

First and Last, forever crowned

Through the cross You bought redemption

Now the lost are welcomed home

Every knee will bend before You

Every tongue will sing Your worth

You are Lord through every age

Worthy of worship forever
