Church Guidelines

These guidelines keep PocketFaith safe, friendly and family-friendly. By posting, a church or group leader agrees to them.

  • You are responsible for your content. Only post for a church or group you are authorised to represent. Leaders must be 18 or over.
  • No personal details about members. Don’t post names together with health, family, money or other private details, and never post information or photos about children.
  • Prayer points stay general. For example, “Please pray for those who are unwell” rather than naming a person and their illness. Ask permission before sharing anything personal.
  • No home addresses. Groups that meet in homes should give a general area only and share the address privately.
  • Songs: titles only. List the song title, artist and a link. Don’t post lyrics, which are usually protected by copyright.
  • Videos: link or embed YouTube videos that are publicly shared by their owners. Don’t re-upload other people’s content.
  • Bible text: quote public-domain translations such as the King James Version (KJV) or World English Bible (WEB), or link to other translations rather than copying them.
  • Family-friendly and respectful: no hateful, abusive or sexual content, no attacks on other churches, faiths or people, and no political campaigning.
  • No selling, fundraising scams or spam. A Give button may link only to your church’s own official giving page.
  • Moderation: new accounts and first posts are checked before they appear. Posts that receive several reports are hidden until reviewed. We may remove content or accounts that break these guidelines.
